Our spring beauty edit places a premium on dewy skin and electric colours for looks that are as bright and beguiling as the season’s flowers. Here are the products we’re buying into.
Spring beauty: this season’s essential products
Hermès Plein Air complexion balm
Hermès is known for its exacting perfection in everything it produces – from horse saddles to handbags – and its latest beauty launch lives up to its reputation. The brand’s new complexion balm is somewhere in between a foundation and a BB cream, with a super lightweight feel but enough pigment to cover blemishes.
It is as much skincare as it is make-up with a hyaluronic acid complex for hydration, calming evening primrose oil and Baikal skullcap to help protect skin from pollution. Even better, it provides SPF 30 sunscreen protection and is perfumed with a sandalwood and green tea fragrance designed by in-house perfumer Christine Nagel.

Dries Van Noten lipsticks
For spring beauty, we recommend forgoing traditional pinks and corals for something a bit more out of box – and there is no one more well-versed in experimental colour combinations than Dries Van Noten. Try pairing his ‘Colourful Nude’, a muddy 1990s-esque shade, with bright eyeshadow. Or go bold with ‘Folk Orange’, a ruddy, burnt vermillion.

Celine Rimbaud fragrance
Celine’s latest fragrance, Rimbaud, takes its inspiration from the 19th-century enfant terrible poet who wrote all his luminous, transgressive verse between the ages 16 and 21. Rimbaud bottles that spirit of rebellious youth with a powdery blend of lavender and iris that is tempered by a hint of musk.
Its a gender-neutral fragrance that is soft enough to be well suited to the warmer spring months, but with a heady edge that makes it much more interesting than the season’s typical florals.

111Skin hydration mask
A shift in seasons can often trigger dry, irritated skin. To help, keep 111Skin’s Molecular Hydration Mask on hand.
111Skin is the most reliable brand there is for face masks, and this cream formulation doesn’t disappoint. Its mixture of multi-molecular hyaluronic acid and other humectants is designed to hydrate deep into the skin’s surface for a moisturised feel in minutes.

Byredo Syren eyeshadow palette
Byredo’s Syren eyeshadow palette supplies a range of spring colours with a subversive edge. The five shades range from a pearlescent silver-gold, to metallic ultra-violet, neon-chartreuse, glittery baby pink, and shiny denim blue. Wear each shade alone or all together for an eye-popping bouquet of colours.
